Kickstarter project - Paparazzo

Today i want to show you yet another Kickstarter-project for iphoneographers. The gadget is called "Paparazzo" and the creators claim its a simple accessory that "gives you just the right light at just the right time."
In fact, the Paparazzo makes your iPhone look like one of these old cameras. So far i think this is something really cool. One problem of the iPhone 4/4S's camera is that the flash makes everyone ugly. No seriously, if you are in a disco and a friend aims at you with his iPhone, your best bet is to hide yourself behind that poor guy right next to you. Almost every picture i have taken at night with flash of people (the flash isnt strong enough to light out bigger areas) looks terrible.
Now if the guys behind this idea are able to do a better job than Apple, this gadget could really improve every picture i take at night.

Features:
The Paparazzo has a 300 Lumen LED (if you dont know what this is, trust me it will be enough if you dont want to blind people). If you thought the iPhone's flash was bright, this will change your mind. You can also adjust the brightness from zero to full power. And don't worry about your iPhone's battery since the Paparazzo will be charged with its own battery.

Technical Details :
Specifications: 300 Lumen LED, two CR 123 batteries or equivalent cell (not included), Standard Apple 30 pin connector. You supply the iPhone.
Colors: Black, White, Chrome (Kickstarter exclusive)
Operating Modes: Photo/Flash, Video, Test
Controls: Trigger, Mode switch, LED adjustment knob (0 to 300 lumens)
Compatibility: iPhone 4/4S, 1/4" tripod mount
Projected Retail Price: $60 (black or white only)

Their goal is to fund 50,000$ within September 1. This seems alright and i hope they will make it. The only sad thing about this whole project is that (if its successful), the first Paparazzo's will be shipped not before January 2013, so you will need alot of patience after you pledged your money.
