Cool trick for remote shutter release

Now probably everyone should know that you can use the volume button of your iPhone to take a picture. For many people this was even the most brilliant feature of the whole (now quite old) iOS 5 update (me included). While this improves the feeling and even the final result quite well, there is still a chance for a shake when you press the button. This can be frustrating especially when you take pictures with night mode, where every shake will break your photo.

Now the following cool fix for this was also included in this update, but most people didnt know it. Apple took the idea people already had for DSLR's: For perfect stabilization you need a tripod and a remote control to use the shutter of your camera. Now a new product just for this purpose wouldnt have been a success for Apple, so they used something everyone already owns when you buy an iPhone: The headphones!
All you need to do is plug in your headphones, and press the volume button. In my opinion a brilliant idea that is just so easy yet can make a huge difference to your photos. Of couse you need a tripod now, but since your iPhone can stand on a flat platform, this isnt really necessary (as long as you dont want to adjust the angle). This works of course with videos too!

But it doesnt stop here. You can also use bluetooth headphones for the same purpose. All you need is your bluetooth headpones connected to your iPhone and again you only need to press the volume button to release the shutter. In fact, you can use EVERY device that can connect to your iPhone via bluetooth and that has a volume button. So you can finally run around using your wireless keyboard to take pictures! Thats all i ever wanted in my whole life!
